Get Close Pre- Assignment

Our next assignment will be to get very close to objects to capture the detail on them, we do this by setting our camera on "Aperture Priority". Artists take photos such as flowers, car parts, and toys up close. I plan on taking many pictures of flowers while doing this assignment.

Jacob Riis

Jacob Riis was a American photographer who was born in Denmark. He worked as a photographer for only ten years. He was the first to realize the power of photographic documentation in the campaign for social reform.

I like this picture as it shows the world for how it truly is. 

 I do like this photo because it shows the real life of a orphan. 

I do like this photograph because it shows a real life form.

Henri Cartier-Bresson

Henri Cartier-Bresson was a french photographer. He was born August 22, 1908 and passed away on August 3, 2004. 

This photo combines together well but the point of the boat seems to makes it not as great as it could of been. 

This photo does not interest me at all, but the boat in the river makes it seem quality. 

This photo interests me greatly, it's a good photo.

Imogen Cunningham

Imogen Cunningham was a American photographer who was known for nudes, industrial landscapes, and botanical photography. She was born April 12, 1883 and died July 4, 1976.

I like this photo because it contrasts against the dark background. 

I do not like this picture because I am not a fan of hands being the main focus of a photograph. 

I do like this photograph because it shows a passion that some may not understand.

Julia Margaret Cameron

Julia Margaret Cameron was a British photographer. She was born June 11, 1815 and died January 26, 1879. 

 I like this photograph because the woman facial structure is beautiful and real. 

I do not like this photo because the woman and children do not look healthy or well. 

I do not like this photograph but maybe some one else would enjoy it but it does not intrigue me.

Eadweard Muybridge

Eadweard Muybridge was born Edward James Muggeridge on April 9, 1830 and died May 8, 1904. He was known for motion and in motion-picture projections. 

I like this photo because it has a touch of an old fashion photograph. 

 

I do not like this picture because it doesn't reflect anything of interests to me. 

I do like this photo because it seems to symbolize something larger in life.
